Here’s the shoe we filled up during the ultra marathon (31-mile) funding-raising push last month. Isn’t that awesome? Let’s fill the other one for the #Boston2018 marathon adventure!! Monday April 16th, I get the honor of running the historic Boston Marathon in Mary Sue Seymour’s name. It’s been a privilege this past year to have taken on many adventures in her name. I’ve got a racing mascot

Thanks to a friend and all her creativity, I have a new racing mascot. Check it out: Isn’t that the sweetest thing EVER? Anyone who knows me, or watches my social media, knows I love stuffed animals. They just make me smile. Well, I have a 20-miler race tomorrow: The 4 Peaks Challenge, and I know this little cutie will be with me at the start…maybe not during the run, but before and after!! Pikes Peak Conquered

This time last week, I was running—er—hiking up Pikes Peak. In all honesty, there wasn’t much running for a couple reasons. There were just too many people on the trail to move much, and…elevation kinda slowed me down. The race was on a Saturday (August 19th), and we drove up from Phoenix starting on Wednesday. Arrived early afternoon Thursday. We got settled, met up with Addie and Joni to pick up our race packets, then it was into the “hurry up and wait for the race” mode.
