Christopher Columbus said it best here: By prevailing over all obstacles and distractions, one may unfailingly arrive at his chosen goal or destination.
We talk a lot about obstacles in our paths that may make us stumble, but what about the distractions?
Those are almost more detrimental in my opinion. They feel more sly. Like they sneak into our lives.
For example, I’m surfing Facebook or Instagram and before I know it and hour has gone by.
I could have written 1,000 words on my next novel! I could have gotten my grocery shopping done.
Distractions–they can sneak in and steal time you could have spent working toward your goal. So be aware.
It’s not that you have to cut out distractions completely, but we have to watch how much time we donate to them for sure.
I know I do, because there’s too much great stuff out there I want to do and see!
Any distractions in your life you might need to put in a time out?
