FRIENDS, WHO NEEDS ‘EM?

Hey there everyone. Hope the day is going well for you so far.

It’s hot and muggy here in the desert, but despite the thick weather, me a couple friends still met for our morning walk/jog. As I was mumbling along to one of my friends, Michele, about my writing endeavors (rejection letters, hopes, dreams, etc), I realized how lucky I am.

In high school, I was NOT known as Ms. Popular, that’s for darn sure. Did not have many friends. But, as I’ve lived, I’ve realized just how important friends are. Their unconditional support, even when I’m being a jerk, and their ability to see through my denial or just plain flawed opinions, is invaluable.

So, it’s really true what Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says: “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!”

Here’s to my two accountability partners. Sandy and Michele. Thanks for all you do!
