Movie+Romance=AWESOME

Since Valentine’s Day was yesterday, and I’m a sucker for romance, I figured today’s movie stuff would be lovey-dovey.

Here we go….

I sat down at my desk and asked myself, “What are ten of my favorite love story movies.”

And this is what I came up with (no particular order):

What are some of your favorite lovey-dovey movies??

You hit it with The Princess Bride! And while I don’t think of either as a ‘love story,’ both Avatar and The Terminator would be on that list. Or even The Crow, although that’s a sad love story.

OH yeah. Princess Bride. That’s a classic. Love that one! I was surprised by Avatar’s love story as well! So subtle, but there. 🙂

OHHH, The Crow is a good one, too! Sad, but good!

I LOVE NEVER BEEN KISSED! That movie ROCKS! Oh, Hitch is a good one to add, too. Such a unique concept! Loved Will Smith in that one! 🙂

Lots of movies get me thinking of romance… one of my top fave ‘romantic’ movies is Hitman. Yes, the violent action assassin movie based on the video game. But in a more traditional strain… Pride and Prejudice, The Young Victoria, Ladyhawke, All the Pirate movies, Breakfast at Tiffany’s and other classics like that… I guess my list could go for a while. 🙂 Two NOT on my list – Casablanca and Romeo and Juliet. I guess I like happy enders. Happy Wednesday!

NICE!!!! Casablanca and Romeo/Juliet weren’t within fifteen miles of my list. LOL. Probably because I haven’t watched either of them (I know, I’m the only one on the planet who hasn’t. LOL!)

Ohhh, Ladyhawke. That’s a good one!!!!!

I like a movie Fire With Fire. It is a older movie on netflix. I liked it a long time ago. I also love the movies Under the Tuscan Sun and The Holiday.—Rachel

Fire with Fire, huh? I’m not familiar with that one. I’ll have to check it out. 🙂 The HOLIDAY!!!! Love that one!

  • Lisa Kessler

    Great ones!!! 🙂

I would add Camelot (The one with Richard Harris as Arthur) and Letter to Juliet… Love! 🙂

Love Actually is another great one!

I love your choices for movies. It will be interesting, I haven’t seen it yet, to see how Footloose, the original, compares to the remake.
