Pain to prosperity #TheRunningWriter

Our instinct is to recoil from pain, avoid it at all cost, right? I mean, who enjoys pain?

Not me.

I’ve had some pretty fun adventures as an author, and some that were not so amazing: broken contracts, failed books, abandoned by my agent (not my current one-she’s awesome).

These events, while painful and disheartening, have shaped me, and they still are. I’ve become a better writer, a wiser person, and a more encouraging friend.

There’s no way to avoid pain, so let’s embrace it. Let’s look at it as a chance to grow, a chance to learn.
