Humility is not thinking less of yourself, it’s thinking of yourself less. ~Rick Warren

I’m actually pretty self-focused when it really comes down to it.

I want this.

I want that.

I want to do that.

I want to read this

I want to eat that.

I feel this.

How’s such and such going to affect me?

Why don’t they like me?

Why am I so fat?

That person’s prettier than me, their house is bigger than mine.

Why am I….

The list goes on and on, day in and day out. And you know what? The more you stay focused on yourself, the more opportunity to find things you don’t like about yourself. And we tend to latch onto those things…Did you ever notice that? It’s almost easier to believe the bad about ourselves.

Goal for today, ask at least one person what he or she wants/needs—and then do it.

And look for someone to do that for at least once daily.

It could range from noticing they might just need a hug. Or a sincere, “How are you doing?” Instead of the “Hey, how’s it going?” as I walk on by.

You never know who you might bless.
