When things don’t go as you’ve planned, or something knocks you off course, it can really throw you for a loop.
While it’s not fun to get “rained” on, it can lead to some pretty amazing things if you stick with it.
The main thing is, though, you’ve got to stick with it.
When it’s getting tough and obstacles are slowing you down or dragging you to a complete stop, it’s hard to keep going. Discouraging, almost.
I think back to when I broke my foot. I was petty new on the trail running scene, and I was bummed to be knocked out so soon. But I hung in there, hobbling to the gym with my massive boot on to do exercises allowed with it just to stay strong for when the boot came off. I hung in there best I could through the pain and frustration. And eventually I did a 50-mile ultra.
Stay strong, my friends. You got this!!
