When I‘m trail running, I often stop and look at the trails behind me—usually, when I get to the top of a big hill.
I do that because I want to see what I’ve just conquered. Where I’ve come from. It helps to see that I just did something pretty hard and survived.
Sure, I might be sucking dust after a monster climb, but I made it. And I can make the next one. Even if I have to walk, I can do it, because I just did.
So, stop and take a look at where you’ve come from. What you’ve conquered. It might be a nice reminder that you ARE strong. You CAN do it. You WILL survive.
