First Class…..

Anyone who knows me knows I love action movies. Up near the top of my “like” list is I Am Number Four, SALT, All of the Terminator movies, X-Men and so on.

I even love the classic early Arnold movies like Commando and Predator. Conan…..

I was a little skeptical when I saw the teaser for X-Men: First Class…But then I saw the full trailer.

Yep, I might have to venture into the movie theatre for that one.

I might have to convince my buddy, KM, to review this one on our monthly Cinema Sound Off post…

Now…onto the movie.

Synopsis from IMDB:

John is an extraordinary teen, masking his true identity and passing as a typical high school student to elude a deadly enemy seeking to destroy him. Three like him have already been killed … he is Number Four.

My Review:

Really, WOW sums it up for me. I judge a movie by whether or not I’d buy it. And let me tell you, I think I might go see this one again in the theaters.

Oh, and for sure I’m going to buy it. The movie kicked Avatar off my most favorite movie now.

I know it didn’t get the best reviews or make a bazillion bucks like maybe everyone thought it would, but this movie is right up my alley.

I don’t know this main actor, Alex Pettyfer, but I think he did really well. His eyes were so expressive. I love his inner struggles and he portrayed them well.

Henri (Timothy Olyphant) cracked me up, too, with his expressions and one liners. The story was intriguing to me as well. then again, this is pretty much the kind of stories I write and love to read, so, I’m not surprised by how much I loved it.

One of my favorite characters, though, is number six. She kicks some serious butt, has an attitude, oh, and she drives a cycle, so of course I love her!

Here’s the trailer:
