Okay, we’re at number TWO of the top five scary movies . . . So far we’ve counted down the following:

    #5 Amityville Horror

    #4 Nightmare on Elm Street

    #3 The Shining

And, today. . . the number TWO rank goes to:

Yeah, I’d say Stephen King is the KING OF HORROR. Jeez, the amount of jumping-out-at-you-scary in this movie was enough to give me a heart attack. The close ups on the faces and the wide eyes. . . **shiver**

**What’d you think about Pet Sematary?**

Welcome to the week of Scary Movies.

Up until now, we’ve been looking at one per week. Candyman, Halloween, andPoltergeist . . .but now, it’s time for the final five.

The TOP FIVE as far as I’m concerned . . .

    So, on to #5:

    Amityville Horror

Yeah, so I’m such a wimp, I never saw this one all the way through. Yes, I’m a dork, and I’m okay with it. Talk about creepy.

Why are the older movies that much more creepy than the ones these days?

Did you see Amityville? What’d you think?

  • Poltergeist

So, it’s October . . . time for scary movies, right?

We’re counting them down here on the blog. One a week until Halloween week, then it’s a movie a day until our number ONE choice.

Oh boy, it’s gonna be creepy. I’m such a wimp when it comes to scary movies.

    So far we’ve coveredCandyman andHalloween.Check out this week’s. . . . .

Holy cow. I seriously got the goosebumps watching this trailer again. Something about this movie just totally and completely freaks me out. I think it’s the little girl’s acting. I never like seeing young kids in this kind of stuff. Like, I went to see Let Me In a while back and it was great, but difficult to see a twelve year old sucking blood, you know?

    What’d you think of Poltergeist?

Oh boy, it’s gonna be creepy. I’m such a wimp when it comes to scary movies. Ask my sweet hubby-I won’t go to them in the theatre very often, and when we rent them, I have the pillow up to my face for a majority of them.

Last week’s was Candyman, which was super scary, but this week. . . check it out. . .

Okay, so I haven’t seen this movie in years, but just watching the trailer had me shivering in my seat here. You know what gets me the most? The music. Because, really, the acting isn’t all that stellar, but jeepers, if I could watch it on mute, I’d be fine!

    What’d you think?

    Remember that one?

Okay, I did watch this one (yes, pillow to face, lights on, and often plugging my ears) and just watching that movie trailer to make the post today freaked me out

Yes, I’m a dork–I’m totally okay with it.

But here’s a fun little trivia I found: Virginia Madsen is allergic to bees, so an ambulance was always on set while filming the bee sequence.

So, have you seen it? What’s one of your favorite scary movies?
