    Okay, I finally did it! Went and saw Breaking Dawn. And what a great movie to celebrate the return of Cinema Sound Off.

    So, here goes…..

    Now…onto the movie.

    Synopsis from IMDB:

    The Quileute’s close in on expecting parents Edward and Bella, whose unborn child poses a threat to the Wolf Pack and the towns people of Forks

    My Review:

    Oh wow. I really liked this. When the movie release was nearing, I started wondering where they’d cut it off…and I had an idea.

    I guessed it. I won’t say where in case you haven’t seen it, but it was totally predictable–BUT TOTALLY good. They ended the movie RIGHT where they needed to. Got me all ready for the next one.

    This first part was really just a set up to the second part as far as I was concerned. I really got the sense of their love story, which is cool with me (I mean, I am a romance writer, you know–LOL).

    This one seemed to follow the book more in my opinion. I remember while reading the book how she jumped into Jake’s POV and I was like, wait, huh? And I could kinda tell that here in the movie, too.Smile

    Compared to the other movies, the action scenes seemed better as well as the special effects. And, wow, how they did the birth scene and stuff. Right on. I’m so excited for the next part to come out to see how they wrap everything together compared to the books.

    I’ll have to give Breaking Dawn Five Tickets:

  • Character Driven…

    I love unique characters. For some reason, I’m drawn to those who are distant, hard, often tattooed and out of control.

    I know, I’m sick.

    But it’s just awesome watching them change during the book/movie.

    Now, I haven’t read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, but when I saw this trailer:

    I was HOOKED. The mystery of the story intrigues me, but more so, the girl! Tats, piercings, —and are her eyebrows shaved? She seems like my kind of character.

    Have you guys read this book? Planning on watching the movie? Lots of great actors in it for sure!

  • Movie Quotes

    So, I turned the big 3-9 on Monday. I know, I’m an old fart now…LOL…Anyway, as the newly appointed old fart, I figured for today’s movie quotes I’d pick some of my FAVE movies.

    And to those who have been following the Movie Quote part of my blog for a while that’s a big hint. **LOL**

    1. My entire childhood has been an episode of X-files…

    2. Donger’s here for five hours, and he’s got somebody. I live here my whole life, and I’m like a disease.

    3. I was a stone cold aerial hunter, death from above. Only problem is, you’re not the only one.

    4. Tempting but I don’t get out of bed for less than half a million dollars.

  • Fast Five….

    I LOVE The Rock.

    Seriously.

    No really. I’m not kidding.

    I get laughed at because I like him, but I do.

    And I didn’t even know he was in FAST FIVE when I started watching it. Yeah, I hadn’t read anything on the movie other than Alex Cavanaugh mentioned it on his blog a while back and mentioned it was worth watching.

    I liked the first two movies, butI’d quit watching after that. Now I have to go back and check out what led up to FAST FIVE, but boy, I was glad I watched this one.

    YUM!

    IMDB Synopsis

    Dominic and his crew find themselves on the wrong side of the law once again as they try to switch lanes between a ruthless drug lord and a relentless federal agent.

    MY THOUGHTS

    YUM. Did I mention that?

    Okay, once I got through the “huh?” factor because I didn’t watch a couple of the previous movies, I fell in love. No, actually, when I saw The Rock step on screen…just kidding (mostly).

    The action was fantastic. Great effects. I never got too bored. The romance was just enough. There were a couple racing scenes that had the bare-butt girls flaunting their cellulite-free fannies, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be so that’s good.

    Now, I love Vin Diesel, too. He made a few flop movies after the first Fast and Furious, but PITCH BLACK and Chronicles of Riddick are really what made me love him. I was glad to see him back and all buffed out. Woot!

    See any good movies lately?

  • Mirror, Mirror, on the wall…

    Whoa…check this out:

    ~~~~
    Okay, that’s going to be good…..
    How could it not, right? Chris and Charlize are in the movie. Sure, Charlize is sporting an accent (grrr…) but she’ll pull it off. I just know it. And not to mention the Twilight phenom, Kristen Stewart….I’m not convinced she’ll be awesome, but I can hope.
