• Tsavo Pride by Laura Diamond

It’s release day for my dear friend, Laura Diamond!

    Tsavo Pride4

Rogue shapeshifters, Santamo and Legeny, believe they are kings blessed with the power to shift into lions. Using that strength, they brutally defend their land from the British building the Ugandan Railroad that threatens their way of life. On a particularly ruthless raid, Santamo meets his match-Naserian. He spares the girl’s life, a move that fractures his relationship with Legeny and blurs his visions of cleansing his territory of invaders.

While the pile of bones in Santamo and Legeny’s cave grows, so does Santamo’s attraction to Naserian. When she challenges him to give up his murderous ways, will Santamo stay on the path of death he believes is his duty, or will he choose Naserian, and love?

  • Shifting Pride by Laura Diamond

Happy Release Day to my good friend, Laura Diamond. SHIFTING PRIDE is a great book.

Now, I haven’t read a lot of books on shifters. But I’m surely interested now. I’ve read Laura’s short story, New Pride, and now, this one, SHIFTING PRIDE. It’s a full novel geared for the Young Adult.

It’s got some steam, but not too much. Emotionally, it’s intense. I love how deep Laura got into the characters’ heads. And hearts.

She painted fantastic word pictures that thrust me right into the story. The scenery and imagery was top notch.

    Nicely done, Laura Diamond.

  • Movie Quotes–Liza Style

Hey, everyone. Emma Martin here. I’m super glad to be back here on the blog. It’s nice having a little down time here from those nasty-smelling vamps terrorizing this college campus. I even got some time to meet an awesome person…Liza VanHassell.

She’s the star of Laura Diamond’s story, Young Dracula. Check out these fun movie quotes she dug up….

    Hi Emma! * waves *

Gosh, so much has happened the past few weeks, it’s nice to do something fun for a change. I mean, the weirdos who keep sending letters warning me my soul is in danger think it’s fun to play guessing games. Whatever. I wish I could turn it around on them.

Instead-because I need to take a break from all the serious stuff for more than two seconds-I’m gonna make you guys guess movie quotes. (I’m sure you’re thrilled, but it would be totally cool if you all humor me and play along, okay? Pretty please? * bats eyelashes *)

My BFFs, Mattie and Josh, came over the other night and we had a Horror Movie Fest. It was nice to watch some of our fav films and freak each other out. I kind of wish Nickolai could’ve joined us, but then Josh would’ve gotten jealous, and then Nick would’ve gotten all mad, and then…oh crap, I’m totally rambling. Sorry, I tend to do that. * takes deep breath *

    OK.

So, I’ve thought long and hard about it and I’ve come up with the following quotes from horror films.

I’ll stop by later on today (after I help Dad itemize the newest shipment of antiques from Romania-super cool stuff!) and share the answers.

    Have fun and good luck!

    1) Listen to them, the children of the night. What sweet music they make.

    2) Your body’s dying. Pay no attention; it happens to us all.

    3) The hunt is his obsession. He’s never gonna stop!

    4) Yep, vampires are real. A lot of ’em live in Sunnydale.

Oh, and if you want to contact me, check out Laura Diamond’s blog. She loves horror movies, too. She’s like one of my mom’s COOL friends, you know. **grin**

Okay, Emma here again. I think I got a couple of those movie lines figured out, Liza. But the rest of you, leave your guesses in the comments here, Liza will let us know if we’re on the right track.

Thanks for hanging out with us today, Liza. You’re wicked-awesome!
