    Yeah, it’s the weekend!! My sweet hubby has whisked me away to celebrate our fourteenth wedding anniversary!

    The official day is AUGUST 10th, but still, this’ll work since the tenth is in the middle of the week.

    So, be sure to come back next week as I celebrate with a Week of Love on the blog next week.

    My characters might even make a surprise visit to share their love stories with us. . .

    I’ve been a fan of Adie Camp for a long time–even played a few of her songs here on the blog.

    I had to bring this one back on the blog for a couple reasons.

    First—this weekend, I was reminded that I am weak.

    I really am. Sure don’t like admitting it, but I am. I’ve never been one to suffer allergies, or anything like that. . . but this past weekend, allergies had depleted my body to the point where I just sat in a stupor.

    Just reminded how something so little can knock me over.

    But what I do know is . . . “In my weakness, I’m finding Your strength. In my sorrow, A gentle embrace.”

    Those few words are part of the second reason I had to bring the song back. I have friends and acquaintances going through various things such as disappointment, frustration, addiction, fear, anxiety, divorce, financial trouble. . . this is for you. Remember to stop and feel God’s embrace. Let HIM be your strength through it all.

    Her voice is so unexpected. When I first heard her, I was shocked to see such a massively ginormous voice streaming out from this young, tiny girl.

    Man, that girl can sing.

    And this song. . . whew. Have you ever just sat and listened to or, better yet, read the lyrics? Pretty inspirational as far as I’m concerned.

    Have you ever seen the movie Rocky? I tell ya, the movie inspires enough as it is, but the music makes it just that much more. I chose this song for Musical Monday because my sweet hubby, Charlie, completed a half iron man on Sunday.

    Five hours and eleven minutes.

    That’s a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike, then a 13.1-mile run.

    YIKES.

    He inspires me just as he is, but his dedication to good health and healthy competition inspires me that much more. So, I thought this song fitting for Musical Monday.
