  • Four Word Interview…Piper’s Fury

    *****UPDATE 7/20/11: Okay, everyone, I drew a winner…….NISA!! Congrats, Nisa. Email Lynn ([email protected]) and she’ll get your info to Rachel. Thanks for playing, everyone******

    ~~~~~
    Hey, everyone. Emma here again. So, are we all calmed down from yesterday’s announcement?
    I’m NOT!
    I’m still in the state of shock to tell you the truth. I’ve even got Jake worried a little bit with my, “holy cow am I dreaming” daze I slip into . . .
    But I digress.
    I read this book, Piper’s Fury, by Rachel Firasek, and I asked Lynn if she could get in touch with the author, because I wanted to meet Piper. She’s wicked-tough and she knows how I feel with the whole not-being-able-to-touch-people-thing. Her reasons are different than mine, but still.
    I even convinced Piper to answer the Four Word Interview questions.
    Check it out. . . .
    Emma Martin: Favorite time of day….
    Piper Anast: The crack of dawn.
    ~~~

    EM:Fondest childhood memory is . . .

    PA: Story time with Momma.

    ~~~
    EM: Favorite food to eat . . .
    PA: Anything other than human.
    ~~~

    EM: If granted one wish. . .

    PA: I’d destroy “father.”

    ~~~~~
    Okay, I got a little nervous on that last one. I think her eyes started flickering that eerie red like on the cover of her book….
    No, seriously, thanks, Piper, for answering those. The Four Word Interview isn’t the easiest thing in the world.
    Now, onto some more fun—> Let’s give away an electronic version of Piper’s Fury. I had to do an all night stake-out on a Vamp nest a while back, and I blazed right through this book.It’s got some sizzling-hot parts, too, but you’ll have to read it to check that out.
    The contest—> All you have to do to enter the drawing is leave a comment on this post!!
    It’s that easy! I’ll pull a name “out of the hat” tomorrow, so let’s say you have until 10pm Pacific time tonight (7/19/11), to leave a comment. I’ll come back to this post and update it showing the winner, okay?
    One entry per person, and since the book is an e-book, anyone can enter, because we’re not mailing anything out!
    Thanks for stoppin’ by, everyone. Stay tuned for tomorrow…I’m picking out some WICKED movie quotes for you to guess. . . .
  • This Writer’s Journey . . .
    Writing is a journey, one I truly love and enjoy, but it can sometimes feel rather lonely. Hour after hour, alone, at the computer, pouring your heart and soul into each word. But I’ve learned I’m not alone, in fact, I’ve been blessed to be in contact with some amazing people, both writers and non-writers.
    I want to share a bit of that with you. Each week I’ll be spotlighting someone I’ve come in contact with during my journey. Thanks for stepping along side of me-all of you-during this exciting time!
    Rachel Firasek
    I’m so excited to introduce Rachel to you. I met her online through RWA and FF&P, like I’ve met many of my fellow writing friends. We connected and did some critiquing together. Now, we meet online regularly to do writing sprints together.
    Lately they’ve been editing sprints, but hopefully we’ll both get back to writing again very soon!
    Her book, Passion of the Soul: Piper’s Fury, is coming out sometime soon, too. It’s a great story. I got the pleasure of getting to read it before it was submitted to her publisher.
    Beautiful story.
    Isn’t the cover great?
    She’s such a fun person to hang around. She’s always encouraging, and she is a great writer. I’m glad to have gotten the chance to get to know her.
