• R is for RED

    Ordinary world . . .

So, this is a remake of the Duran Duran song and I LOVE IT! This video is visually amazing. I love the painting and drawing. My character, Annabelle, in Awaited, is an artist. Her skill comes in pretty handy in the book…but I can’t really tell you how or I’ll give away too much.

  • Let Go…

Music is a HUGE part of my writing process. Much to my husband’s displeasure, I often find a song and latch on, playing it on repeat incessantly.

I’ve found a new song to do that with.

I’m writing Wasteland 3 right now during NaNoWriMo. I’m having a BLAST over on Twitter while doing writing sprints.

Even if you’re not a writer, you should follow #nanotramps on Twitter. It’s super fun! We sometimes put quotes up from the projects we’re working on…even though they are super rough drafts, we get a kick out of them sometimes.

But anyway, back to my song–gosh I’m easily distracted–Let Go, by RED. Now, I sometimes surprise people by telling them I listen to this kind of music. Oh, and that I have three tattoos, but that’s a whole ‘nother post…

This song, although it’s very hard rock, paints a great picture of Wasteland 3’s main character.

But that’s all I can say about that for now…. **grin**

As soon as I heard it, I knew it was for Wasteland 3. 🙂

  • Not Alone…

Do you ever feel like you’re all alone?

That no one understands or has experienced what you are going through?

I can’t even BEGIN to understand what my mother and father-in-law are experiencing right now as they deal with her cancer.

Last Friday, she received the news that her cancer has spread/worsened beyond treatment. There isn’t an option of chemo any longer.

And yes, that was the day my books arrived (see yesterday’s post). So, it was a bitter-sweet day. I was glad to hand her the book so she could read the dedication and see just a tiny sliver of light on that dark day.

Then yesterday, while I was at work, I heard this song by RED–> Not Alone.

    And I cried.

Isn’t it interesting how you hear something right when you need to.

Here are the lyrics that really hit home:

    I am with you

I will carry you through it all

    I won’t leave you

I will catch you when you feel like letting go.

    ‘Cause you’re not…

    You’re not alone!

Have a great day, everyone. And know this, you are NOT alone!
