• This Writer’s Journey…Juliana

    ThisWritersJourney

Writing is a journey, one I truly love and enjoy, but it can sometimes feel rather lonely. Hour after hour alone at the computer, pouring your heart and soul into each word. But I’ve learned I’m not alone, in fact, I’ve been blessed to be in contact with some amazing people, both writers and non-writers.

I want to share a bit of that with you. Each week (or so) I’ll be spotlighting someone I’ve come in contact with during my journey. Thanks for stepping along side of me-all of you-during this exciting time!

I have to say, Juliana is all kinds of sweet. Always encouraging. Excited about writing and the whole New Adult Movement. It’s absolutely contagious when she smiles, emails, tweets…you name it. I new right away I loved her when I read her profile and she mentioned BUFFY.

Yeah, I’m partial to Buffyas well, but you all already knew that 🙂

I met Amy Eye while scheduling a blog radio show chat with Journal Jabbers. That is an awesome radio show if you have time to check it out. These guys have so much fun. It was among some of the first radio shows I’d done, so I was nervous. But when I got online with these guys, I had so much fun the nerves just vaporized.

It might have something to do with Amy’s relaxed, supportive and encouraging attitude. She’s such a champion for authors and a beautiful person.

I’m really glad I got to “meet” you, Amy. Hope to see you in real life some day!

    Lynda Hilburn

I met Lynda a while back through an RWA group. She happened to be looking for a critique partner and I liked the premise of her work. Plus, I figured, I have a psych degree so maybe that could help since the character is into that.

I mean, she writes Vampires, how could I not be interested, right? But hers are very different than the ones I write about in ,my Violet Night Trilogy, but still. *wink*

When I was at the Romantic Times Readers Convention back in April, I got the chance to sit down at talk with Lynda. She’s as nice in person as she is online!

I’m super glad Lynda has stepped along side of me on my writing journey!

    Jean Murray

Jean is a fellow CMP author, so I met her through the CMP author loop.

Her book,Soul Reborn, totally rocks by the way.

One thing that really stood out to me was Jean’s willingness to help. To share ideas about things that worked or didn’t work for her. Giving advice to those who were just starting out.

Really, she’s just a top-notch person and an excellent writer. I can’t wait for her next book to come, you’re going to love it!

I’m super glad I met Jean on this writing journey!

    Alan Dean Foster
I met Alan through my publicist back in March. He graciously agreed to go on The Morning Scramble with me. At first I was like, Really? You’re a NY Times Best Selling Author, what do you want to do hanging around me?
    For real.
He was just so nice. Gracious. Encouraging. It was really great getting to know him. And then he came down to join me at my Awaited Book Launch event at The Changing Hands Bookstore in May. He even gave me an autographed The Chronicles of Riddick book! **whoa**
I’m so very glad I got to get to know Alan on my writing journey. Such an amazingly talented person. His smile is contagious and he’s just so sweet. So, thank you, Alan, for coming along side me in my journey!
