• K is for Katy. . .

Wow. This song rips my guts out every time I listen to it.

Though it’s difficult to listen to/watch, it is a reminder about one thing. . . life is short. Don’t let the last words you say to someone you love be harsh.

    Makes ya think, doesn’t it?

Katy is so talented. She’s got a fun, fresh, energetic voice. I was a little surprised at first when I saw this video. But I’m glad I stumbled upon it. Even if it does make me cry.

What song has has made an impact on you?

  • Meeting the readers. . .

I spent Saturday down in Tucson at the Festival of Books. I’d never been to that event, but now I’m totally hooked.

You know what I loved most?

    Meeting the readers.

I mean, I write for them, so that make sense. But this was my first reader focused event as an author. And once again I’m totally hooked.

It’s just great talking about books, writing, and characters with those who read my book.

    You guys rock.

If you follow my Facebook, you’ve seen some of these pictures, but I wanted to share some here, too. To see more, head over to my Facebook Page and you’ll see more from the exciting day!

The weather was beautiful–sometimes on the chilly side (since I’m a thin-skinned desert rat) but sunny and not too windy for the most part!

I’m already looking forward to next year!

  • This Writer’s Journey…Sara Reinke

Writing is a journey, one I truly love and enjoy, but it can sometimes feel rather lonely. Hour after hour, alone, at the computer, pouring your heart and soul into each word. But I’ve learned I’m not alone, in fact, I’ve been blessed to be in contact with some amazing people, both writers and non-writers.

I want to share a bit of that with you. Each week I’ll be spotlighting someone I’ve come in contact with during my journey. Thanks for stepping along side of me-all of you-during this exciting time!

And it’s going to shine thanks to her expertise.
