    Wolf Fever by Terry Spear

Back cover blurb from Barnes and Noble

She may be his destiny, but she’s not his first choice…

Hospital nurse and newly turned red werewolf Carol Woods is being pressured by her pack leader to find a mate, but he’s the only guy in the pack who remotely attracts her.

Why is he playing so hard to get?

The fate of the pack rests on his shoulders…

Gray pack leader Ryan McKinley doesn’t want anything to do with Carol unless she’s willing to embrace her wolf nature-no matter how beautiful she is.

But when a virus infects the local lupus garou pack, Ryan realizes just how wrong he’s been not to seize the moment with the woman he’s come to love. And now, it may be too late…

    My Review:

I’m new to Terry’s writing. I think this is book number six in the series, but I haven’t read the others. I wasn’t lost really at all. I might even go back and read the rest eventually.

I liked this book. Good writing, intriguing plot, and fascinating characters. I get drawn in by strong characters, especially strong female leads. I got a little annoyed by Carol a few times because she was so stubborn, but that’s a personal preference. Terry obviously did a good job depicting her since I got annoyed, right?

I was tentative about “wolf” books because they’re not my favorite to read about. But it’s obvious Terry knows a thing or two about them. She yanked me into the scenes, and I could literally picture the wolf’s ears swiveling, listening for things to come. That was cool.

There’s a bit of sex in this book. Much of it revolves around that, and the whole mating thing. It has its place for sure, and I like the concept of once mated, mated for life, no other partners, so they took the whole sex-thing really seriously instead of just random sex. But it seemed like it was steamy all the time. Again, personal preference.

Good writing. Good book. She’s created an interesting world and engaging characters!

So, what are you reading these days?

I won a book over at the Preternatura blog the other day….a real paper book. So, I’m taking a break from reading novels on my Barnes and Noble Nook and reading a real, live book again. . .

It’s called, Wolf Fever, by Terry Spear.

Have you read it? What’d you think?

Anyway, since I finished up the sequel to Winged the other day, I’m going to spend time doing some editing and a ton of reading.

I have a TBR (To Be Read) list a mile long, but I’m still gonna ask….any suggestions for me to read up on over the next couple months?
