The Bourne Legacy

Okay, who’s ready to see this?

I know I am. I’m a HUGE fan of the Bourne movies. I’m cautious about this one a bit because Matt Damon isn’t the star, but this trailer…wow, if the movie is half as good, that’d be okay. **LOL**

Anyone see it? See any reviews? Do tell! I work all weekend, so I won’t get to it for a bit.

I saw it yesterday morning. I too am a HUGE Jason Bourne fan, but I figured I’d give Aaron Cross a chance. As an action movie, it was good. As a 4th installment in the Bourne series, I thought it could have been better. I wrote a full review on my blog if anyone wants to read it. I promise I didn’t give anything away. http://alexabourne.blogspot.com Oh, and I am now an official fan of Jeremy Renner!

I saw the new one last night and thought it was great! It overlaps the third (when Bourne goes to New York) and really expands on the mythos my revealing that there are many more agents. The two leads were great and they did set it up for more sequels. I’ve read the other books, but not this one, so not sure how closely it stuck to the source material. But, I did enjoy it!

I read one review that said it’s a big set up for a sequel and was disappointing from that standpoint, but also a let down because it’s mostly a rehashing of the previous movies. That was my biggest complaint about the 3rd in the series. I felt like it didn’t add much new to the series and I was just watching a sort of remake. I might see the new one on DVD when it comes out, but I not in big anticipation for it.
