MY REVIEW:

Jacob Israel tells a great story in The Calling. It’s thought provoking and challenging, especially to those who struggle with the question: Why is there suffering in the world?

Jacob Israel paints a descriptive word picture of Thomas James and the struggles he faces during his young life. I often caught myself gasping, “Oh no!” because of the situations in which he found himself.

The Calling takes you on a scary, heart-wrenching ride to an unexpected ending. But, Jacob Israel does a great job showing that God has a plan, though we may not understand it, all will be well if we trust that plan.

Sounds interesting. A little reminiscent of a book I read called “Blessed Child” by Bill Bright and Ted Dekker. I’ll borrow it from you sometime if you’ll let me… after I borrow the Twilight series. 🙂
