Have you ever sat and reminisced about what was popular when you were a kid? Well…. “Then and Now” Thursdays is right up your alley.

Tears for Fears Early YearsTears for Fears~

Remember them?

Oh man they were great.

tears for fears 2009Man, when I think of them, it’s like

a time warp back to the 80s. I heard they broke up

for a while, but got back together in 2000

This song brings back memories of slumber parties and Friday Night Videos we’d try and stay up late to watch.

  1. Kat–Cheers for Beers. LOL.

KM–You go girl…summer of 1985 Who-Hoo. My hubby knows dates like crazy when it comes to music too. Me, heck, I can’t remember what I did yesterday let alone when a song came out. LOL.

  2. I loved Shout. I memorized the words, sang it at the top of my lungs, over and over. . .that was the summer of 1985! (shows my age if I can remember what summer a song came out. younger people don’t care LOL)

    Good pick, Lynn 🙂

  3. LOL!

This group makes me smile for a couple of reasons.

My cousin used to call them Cheers for Beers, which I thought was hilarious. 🙂

And there’s a guy I work with who will start singing “Shout, Shout, let it all out…” right out of the blue sometimes. It’s so completely random it’s funny.

I prefer “Everybody Wants to Rule the World.”
