THEN AND NOW THURSDAYS

Have you ever sat and reminisced about what was popular when you were a kid? Well…. “Then and Now” Thursdays is right up your alley.

Remember Boom Boxes? How we’d carry them around blasting our music?

Or how ’bout the sony walkman?

But now…oh, how things have changed. The iPod sure has changed things, hasn’t it?

Rosslyn/Avily, yeah, I’m like that a little as well..my sweet hubby helps me a lot. I get the MP3s, though…I’m OK with those. I use them like every day on my jogs and bike rides. I’d die without it…and it’s soooo small.

Kat-Oh, yeah…I hear ya on the lovin’ the MP3….So, you don’t remember anything? Now why is that …..??? **smile/LOL**

I love my MP3. Wouldn’t trade it for all the Walkmans in the world!

They talked about the evolution of the stereo the other night on the Discovery Channel (or was it the History Channel, I don’t remember). I love these walks down memory lane. (Even if I don’t remember anything.) 🙂

Ah, those were the good ol’ days- back when taking your walkman to actually walk was as much exercise as the walk itself! 🙂

Rosslyn, I can totally relate! Thats why I married a Genius Nerd. I just ask him to figure stuff out for me.

“Honey, will you please put these songs on my MP3 for me? Thanks!”

I’m going to have a premature “senior moment” and complain about how hard it is to operate mp3 players. My first experience with one was so frustrating (compatibility, downloading, blah, blah) that I have avoided them ever since.

    Bring back the boom box!

Billy–Oh yeah, I had one of those huge boom boxes as well….Oh how funny.

Alison–thanks for visiting. Glad you stopped by and hope to see you again. Oh yeah, double tape deck…that’s the one where you can record off another tape on the other side, right? I remember that….totally thought that was the coolest.
