Who are we to judge?

You’ve probably heard the phrase, “Don’t judge a book by its cover.”

I do it with books all the time. It’s what attracts me to even open a book to read the little blurb. And as an author, I’m constantly told I need to have great book covers to catch readers’ attention.

Okay. So that phrase isn’t for finding books.

My guess is that we all do a little judging sometimes or feel judged by people.

It happens. We can get past it, but it starts with us. You can only control you.

Remind yourself that people are people. We’re called to love them, not judge. And for sure not be the judge, jury, and executioner of them.

You don’t have to agree with or condone behaviors and actions that are outside your beliefs, but continue to love. Stay respectful.

Nothing hurts my heart more than when I see people hurting other people just because they don’t agree on something. Whether it’s sharper than sword words, cutting people down, or actual physical violence.

Who are we to judge?
