It’s not about you.


One thing that’s helped me let go of stress is to realize “It’s not about me.”

It’s so easy to make everything about me. How things affect me. How I’ve been wronged. I could go on, but you get the point.

Once I realized that pretty much everything that happens in day to day life doesn’t revolve around me, my feelings, and my hang ups, life got a little less stressful.

Shifting my focus to other people and how I can help them has helped take the focus off me, too. Because when I’m constantly looking inward, I tend to FIND things to obsess about.

So remember, not everything is about you.
