#TheRunningWriter QOTD

Encouragement > worry.

*****

Worry is so heavy on the shoulders isn’t it? Tiring, too. Thoughts and worries constantly toiling around in our brain. Distracting us. Making us edgy.

It leads to us missing things people say. Not noticing the environment around us. Not being there 100% for our family.

How the heck do we turn off the worry?

I read an interesting Proverb today about how encouragement can combat the weight of worry. Encouragement is contagious, so when you lift others up, it eventually does the same to you.

Whether it’s a kind word or and act of kindness, the focus is off your issue. Your worry.

I also found that it sometimes helped me see that the issues I’m struggling with were not as huge as I was making them out to be, too.

Plus. I’m helping someone who might be struggling with something. So, it’s a win-win.
