This Writer’s Journey . . .

Writing is a journey, one I truly love and enjoy, but it can sometimes feel rather lonely. Hour after hour, alone, at the computer, pouring your heart and soul into each word. But I’ve learned I’m not alone, in fact, I’ve been blessed to be in contact with some amazing people, both writers and non-writers.

I want to share a bit of that with you. Each week I’ll be spotlighting someone I’ve come in contact with during my journey. Thanks for stepping along side of me—all of you—during this exciting time!

Rachel Firasek

I’m so excited to introduce Rachel to you. I met her online through RWA and FF&P, like I’ve met many of my fellow writing friends. We connected and did some critiquing together. Now, we meet online regularly to do writing sprints together.

Lately they’ve been editing sprints, but hopefully we’ll both get back to writing again very soon!

Her book, Passion of the Soul: Piper’s Fury, is coming out sometime soon, too. It’s a great story. I got the pleasure of getting to read it before it was submitted to her publisher.

Beautiful story.

Isn’t the cover great?

She’s such a fun person to hang around. She’s always encouraging, and she is a great writer. I’m glad to have gotten the chance to get to know her.

  1. Hi Lynn and Rachael,

Aren’t online friends wonderful? I too have made many friends through critiquing in online groups. Occasionally I’ve gotten to meet them in person.

What an awesome cover, Rachael. I can’t wait to read Piper’s story.

  2. Rachel is a truly awesome human being. I don’t know where she finds the energy and time to do all she does. I can’t wait to read PASSION OF THE SOUL. Tingly all over. 🙂

  3. Thanks Jill, and thank you Lynn. You gals keep me going, even when I want to just throw my pc against the wall. I look forward to forgetting it all at the “login” and enjoying a few hours of writer’s bliss. I’m so thankful we met-online-and look forward to someday meeting in person. 🙂
