Writing is a journey, one I truly love and enjoy, but it can sometimes feel rather lonely. Hour after hour, alone, at the computer, pouring your heart and soul into each word. But I’ve learned I’m not alone, in fact, I’ve been blessed to be in contact with some amazing people, both writers and non-writers.
I want to share a bit of that with you. Each week I’ll be spotlighting someone I’ve come in contact with during my journey. Thanks for stepping along side of me—all of you—during this exciting time!

Cari Foulk is my agent.
Okay, so, I signed with her nearly a year ago, but that’s still WAY cool to say. It’s surreal. I mean, less than three years ago, I never even dreamed I’d be a writer, let alone one represented by an agent.
Like I’ve said a zillion times, this path to publication is an adventure, and I’m really thankful to have Cari walking beside me.
To have someone who is invested in my writing enough to take on the challenge of getting it published is so comforting. Even more, the fact that she’s in it for the long haul, with all my novels, puts me at ease as well.
I’ve met some awesome writers who are represented by Tribe Literary Agency, and we lovingly call one another Tribesters. We hang out on Facebook and Twitter a lot, bantering, talking writing, and encouraging one another.
Cari has fostered a Tribe, that’s for sure.
I love her wicked-sharp sense of humor, wit and dedication. Thanks, Cari, for all you do!
You are lucky to have someone like that on your side….We need all the support we can get….Once you find someone you hold on…
Great post! I love the fact that you are so happy with your agent. Cari Foulk sounds like a great person to work with. Congrats. Glad you are part of such a great network of writers!!
I’m sure a contract is headed your way soon. 🙂
Thanks, Ciara. Let’s hope you’re right on the contract statement. God’s timing. I’m just along for the ride. 🙂
Love it- and I love seeing the Tribe on twitter. You are very lucky to have found a home there.
Yep, they have a strong presence on Twitter for sure. It’s a great family!
