Throwback Thursday
Hey, it’s Adrean again. Looks like you’re stuck with me for one more day. Lynn is all jet-lagged and tired. She’ll recoup and show up tomorrow.
Oh, have you entered the Make Me Laugh Contest? – – – you should, it sounds like it’d be a riot.
If she gets a lot of entries, I might try and read a few!

So, since I get to do a throwback, I picked a movie.
Hey, I stay indoors a lot (remember my post on quirks?), movies and music keep me entertained. Oh, and reading, but for today’s throwback, it’s a movie.
That movie was great. Released in the 90s, so I was super young, but still, I saw it eventually and it rocked.
Maybe I can relate a little since I’m a freak, kinda like him. So I don’t have scissors for fingers, but still, I can manipulate metal with my mind.
Yeah, that’s a little high on the freak-factor scale.

Here’s the trailer if you wanna see it:

Have you seen the movie?
What’d you think?

I love Edward Scissorhands! AWESOME movie! I think it’s Johnny Depp’s and Tim Burton’s best that they’ve made together.

Okay, this movie was just plain weird. You know? I liked it. Johnny sure can play those funky characters, huh?

Jill – yeah, scissors for hands makes a lasting impression, for sure!
Kat – I’m a Depp fan too. Say, you were pretty analytical as a child… 🙂

I was very young when I saw that movie, too. I can remember being freaked out by not knowing whether he was a human or a robot. If he was a human, how could someone just replace his hands with scissors. And furthermore…why?
🙂
I really think that role probably helped define the roles Johnny Depp would later make famous. It’s cool to see how far he’s come since then.

To this day, whenever I see someone cutting, trimming, edging with scissors or any garden tool, I remember that movie. I haven’t seen the movie since it’s original debut, but I do remember feeling sorry for Edward.
