Life and Whatnot

VAMPIRE OR WEREWOLF

I’m a big fan of supernatural books, TV, and movies. Something about the whole fantasy thing, getting away from the reality of the day. Escaping into a dream world.

I’ve always been that way. Before it was reading, it was TVs and movies. The Terminator was one of my favorites. Especially when Sarah Connor came back all buff and kick-butt. Remember that? TV shows, such as Buffy and Charmed. Not that I was into dark magic and stuff like that, just the supernatural aspects. Strong women kicking butt and taking names. Superpowers. Romance. What’s not to like, right.

So when hometown author, Stephanie Meyer, came out with her Twilight series, sure, I liked it. There are many that didn’t, but judging by her success, I would say more liked it than didn’t **LOL** Whether you liked the writing and the story or didn’t, that’s OK, we’re all entitled to our opinions, right?

Her movie is coming out November 21st…. so when I found this little quiz on the internet, I got a chuckle out of it.

So, check it out and see what you are: CLICK HERE

Turns out I’m a vampire….Isn’t that interesting…If I believed in these things AT ALL, I might be a little miffed, because this really doesn’t describe me very accurately…Me Elegant? Timeless? Mysterious? Oh my, I’m almost on my knees laughing right now. Ok, maybe ONCE. At my wedding, I wore my mom’s dress…it was over 35 years old…That’s about as close to elegant and timeless I’ve ever been.

****

You Are a Vampire
You are charming, sensual, and even a bit manipulative.
You can’t help but get people to do what you want.

You have sharp senses and a strong predatory instinct.
You go after what you want, without mercy.

While you have the heart of a killer, many people are drawn to you.
You are elegant, timeless, and mysterious. You are the ultimate fantasy object.

****

What did it say about you? Is it at all close to being accurate?

Have you read the series? What did you think?

Hey Rosslyn, glad you stopped by! Yeah, I was thinking the Edward AND the Bella chosen for the roles look nothing like I’d imagined. But we’ll see when we head out to the movies in a couple weeks, huh? Hope to see more of you here.

    Hi!
When I read your reference to your blog on Facebook tonight, I decided to come check it out. I’m looking forward to reading more of it! I’ve given up on online quizzes, though. I got too confused about whether I am Ghandi or a German Shepherd. 🙂
I read Twilight; I’m not a huge fan, but I can see why others liked it. I’m really curious, though, about whether the die-hard fans (hee hee) will like the casting of Edward in the movie. I saw the trailer last night, and he looks *nothing* like the Edward I imagined.

Thanks, Sue for visiting! Your books are on my to be read list, for sure!

Yeah, Avily, don’t forget Dark Angel, right? LOL. Yeah, we’ll swap out books soon. I’m stoked for Twilight to come out November 21st.

The first time I did it, it said I’m a vampire, but I think the description for Werewolf fits me better.

Billy- I totally agree with the brooding thing as far as sexy vampires go, but what about Oz from Buffy? He was a stinking cool werewolf!

Oh, and for all of you Buffy/Angel/Firefly/Various other sci-fi show lovers, check out Dollhouse when it comes out on Fox in January!

Oh, and Lynn, we need to get together so we can trade books to borrow! I still need to read Twilight, and you need to read Anne Rice!

Oh, you’ll love my work! 🙂 Never Ceese is selling write along with Ms. Stephanie on Amazon right now. I hope to catch up with her soon. *yeah, right. I hope to catch up with Ms. Rowling too. At least I have kudos from the British Fantasy Society for Forever Richard. That’s close, huh?*

If you haven’t gotten Never Ceese though you will need to read it before Forever Richard but just because you’ll really enjoy it. Do buy a copy through my website though at http://www.foreverrichard.com Since my first publisher sold me out to a wholesaler to free up warehouse space, I don’t get any royalties. It’s hard to get a royalty check when your publisher doesn’t have any more of your books. The ones she does have left she owes me for website work. How grand is that!!!

Thank God for The Writers’ Cafe Press.

UNDERWORLD. Yeah, I totally have those movies. I mean, there’s a massive sex scene in the second one I could do without, but WOW, what a story. I couldn’t get into the Sarah Conner Chronicles either….but oh well. I’m stoked for Twilight, the movie. NOT real sure about the actors, though! We’ll see what happens.

I LOVE that part, Kat, where John says “all of ’em.” Van Helsing is good too. I liked that movie and own it as well. I’ve watched it like six times. I don’t like Kate’s accent in it though…but other than that…I liked it. AND YEAH, can we say AWESOME KISS at the end. HOLY MOLY

I’m a werewolf. And Terminator & Terminator 2 were awesome!

I love the part in T2 when they’re getting ready to blow up the office building and John Connor says the police are there. When Sarah asks, “How many?” I always crack up at the way he says: “All of ’em.”

I think one of my fave vampire/werewolf movies is Van Helsing. Hugh Jackman and Kate Beckinsale are fantastic together, and that kiss at the end…wow!

Hey, I am a vampire too! Neat survey LRush! (Vampires? Ann Rice baby!)
The Terminator is one of my favorite movies. I tried to watch the TV series, The Sarah Conner Chronicles. I wanted to like it, but alas the storyline couldn’t hold my attention every week. You know, make a plan – it gets thwarted – almost die – with five minutes left in the show, a narrow escape. I gave it a good, long chance, though.
Twilight was great, and I can’t wait for the movie. It was a little too much sappy romance, but I get that.
I am a fantasy/sci-fi freak! I love Underworld, Reign of fire, The Last Legion, Tristan + Isolde, 300, okay I could go on and on.
    Thanks for the post LynnR!

Werewolf, though I’m a bit disappointed. Vampires are way cooler (remember Angel? How cool was he, with all that brooding and the long trench coat?!). I must admit, though, that the description was pretty accurate.

As for Stephanie Meyer’s books, I haven’t read them yet. But I will probably catch the movie…
