itunes_cd1It Just Takes One, Addison Road.

I went to a rockin’ concert this past weekend at the US Airways Center here in Phoenix: The Rock and Worship Road Show.

It featured:  Jeremy Camp, Mercy Me, Addison Road, Hawk Nelson, Tenth Avenue North. It was so fun, and I was introduced to Addison Road.

And let me tell you, I’m a huge fan now! I picked It Just Takes One as my song for today. The lyrics aren’t posted anywhere that I could find yet. I listened to the song and found the ones that touched me the most.

Lyrics I loved:

It just takes one.

One to step out from the crowd to show what love is about.

It just takes One

One to change a life forever.

Touch the world and make it better.

What if we moved

with no hesitations

and learned to love the least of these without reserve

Let’s spark a change

In this generation

And let our actions speak louder than our words

What did you think?

  1. Jenny (from Addison Road) is my daughter, and “it Just Takes One” is so much more than just a song for her. She spent a summer working in orphanages in Romania, gone on mission trips all over the world, spent her Saturday’s during High School at food banks and her free periods working with Autistic students, and when she’s home and should be resting she adopts families off of Craig’s List that need help. I’m glad you like her music. Just wanted to let you know she really lives what she sings.

  2. You find the best songs. I’m sorry to say that my musical abilities are sadly lacking. Being around so many people, I am sometimes too “tight” with my silence and don’t readily reach for a radio or CD.

I did borrow some CD’s from the library recently and got reacquainted with 2ndChapter of Acts which I used to love. Will have to start finding some of your choices.

  3. I’m jealous. I love all those artists. That must have been a pretty awesome concert. I haven’t heard this particular song, but I really like it. I think I’ll have to add it to my iPod.

  4. Nice bass. This song rocks.

I’m a huge fan of MercyMe. Love them. Love them. Love them. (Almost as much as Third Day and Newsboys.) 🙂

  5. Tenth Avenue North is one of my favorites right now – I also am a fan of Addison Road. One of my hobbies, this is kind of lame, is to go onto itunes and search for new artists and music. I “found” Addison Road a while back and love their sound and their music. Also a fan of MercyMe and Jeremy Camp – sounds like it had to be a great time.
