#CancerSucks Update

GREAT NEWS today on the cancer front. Mum got another clear scan! Next one is in six months, then it’s just blood tests every few months for the next year and a half.  SOOO thankful for the clear scan. I got to see her today and she’s looking fantastic. Walking is almost back to normal, she’s even riding a bike! Those new to the blog or new to my books, I donate a portion of my proceeds to the American Cancer Society because cancer has been running deep in my family and friends these past two years. Thank You

You’ve heard me say it before, but I’ll say it again READERS RULE! We had this epic Twitter party planned last night at the hashtag #MAGICKED. Five authors, tons of prizes and a grand prize of a $100 gift card. But Twitter decided to throw a glitch in the festivities. This Writer’s Journey…Katrina

Writing is a journey, one I truly love and enjoy, but it can sometimes feel rather lonely. Hour after hour alone at the computer, pouring your heart and soul into each word. But I’ve learned I’m not alone, in fact, I’ve been blessed to be in contact with some amazing people, both writers and non-writers. I want to share a bit of that with you. Each week (or so) I’ll be spotlighting someone I’ve come in contact with during my journey. Thanks for stepping along side of me—all of you—during this exciting time!   Katrina Whittaker I met Katrina online[…]

Wow. It’s hard to believe I hit SEND on the final edits for Violet Storm (Violet Night #3) to my Super Editor. Two trilogies done! When I was straightening out my book shelf the other day, I had to stop when I saw my books. I put them all out and snapped this picture. Five novels out there, the sixth on its way (June hopefully)….And yes, I pinched myself. Stills feel like a dream sometimes. I’m excited to see what cover they come up with for the final installment of Jake and Emma’s love story. As soon as I have[…]

Couch To Marathon

Last week I got some GREAT news…. Doc cleared me for all activity now! Woot! After nearly eleven weeks on restriction after abdominal surgery, I can start exercising again! And let me tell you, I’m ECSTATIC. Remember way back when I realized I was going to have major surgery I threw out the challenge to join me in training for a marathon once I recovered? Well, now that I’ve received the good-to-go from my doc, I’m ready to jump into the Couch to Marathon. I haven’t picked out a race yet, but I’m shooting for something in October. Sure, I’ve[…]
