End of an Era…

Wasteland RT Quote Cover

Okay, not officially an era, but for me, it kind of is.

Wasteland, the first book in my Wasteland Trilogy, with Crescent Moon Press, was the first book I ever published.

There were a lot of firsts involved with Wasteland….

My first experience with a publisher.

My first book signing event. (My hand was shaking so bad, I’m not sure my name was legible.)

My first experience with marketing.

My first experience with good & bad reviews.

I think you get the picture.

It opened doors for me that led to me publishing TWELVE books between 2011 and September 2014. That was a lot of hard work–but rewarding work. I’ve met so many people, learned so much, and I am forever grateful!

Now what’s this got to do with the title “end of an era?”

Top Pick Violet MidnightWell…as of March 31st, 11:59pm, Crescent Moon Press is releasing all their authors. Every single one of them.

What that means…All seven of my books published with them: Wasteland, Awaited, Tainted, Prelude to Darkness, Violet Midnight, Violet Dawn & Violet Storm will be out of print and pulled from all e-book retailers.

They are now mine again to do with what I please. I could republish them on my own or just hold onto them for a while….Right now, I’m not sure what I will do, and that’s okay. I don’t need to.

My other books

Bound by Hades trilogy from Entangled Embrace and my self-pub trilogy, Touch of Frost, are still out there in print and ebook form wherever books are sold, so I’ll have fun with those for a while.

I am working on a few projects (because the voices never shut up in my head…) You might have seen pictures of Alastair on my Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter feeds. He just might be involved with these projects….

So, stay tuned.

And thanks for taking the journey with me and my Wasteland and Violet Night Trilogies! Your support of me and my books is so appreciated.

I’ll see you all soon at Author Palooza on April 18th down at Dog-Eared Pages Bookstore in Phoenix, AZ and then at the Romantic Times Booklovers Convention in Dallas May 12-17th!

Happy reading, my friends!

Plotting Princessess…

I’m super excited to take part in the Plotting Princesses New Year’s Blog Hop 2013 is going to be a crazy-fun year filled with exciting book releases, writing, and hanging out with readers at Authors After Dark.

TaintedThe final book in the Wasteland Trilogy, Tainted, releases January 15th!  I’m both excited and sad at the same time. A trilogy comes to an end. But yet, I just loved writing Durk and Jessica’s story.

Here’s the blurb, then don’t forget to check out one of my favorite recipes—and read on even further for a little giveaway.

Even death can’t stop true love…

After over four hundred years as a Guardian, Durk Langdon rebuked it all. Walked away from everything when his mate, Jessica, was brutally murdered. Yet he has no recollection of anything since that gruesome day.

Nothing alleviates his longing for Jessica or his disdain for the Guardians until a former brother in arms joins him and his cause. Visions of his lost love start appearing in the most unlikely places, until Durk learns she survived.

But when he sets out to find her, demonic obstacles he never could have imagined tear them apart.

I’m a little cookie monster–love my chocolate chip cookies. So, when I was encouraged to go gluten free for health reasons, one of the first things I thought…WAIT, what about cookies? LOL.

There’s this GREAT recipe that allows me to have yummy cookies…without the gluten. So, check it out. It’s from. Pamela’s Baking Mix (I use it for pancakes, too!)

8 TBSP butter, 1 egg, 1 tsp vanilla, 1-1/2 cups Pamela’s Baking Mix, 1-1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, 1/2 cup chopped walnuts, 1/4 cup white sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar.

Preheat oven to 350. Cream butter and sugars together. Add egg and vanilla, mix.  Add Pamela’s Baking Mix, then chocolate chips and nuts. Place scoops of dough (1TBSP sized) on parchment lined or greased cookie sheet. Lightly flatten. Bake for 12-15 minutes (for me it’s like 10 minutes). Let cookies cool slightly and use a spatula to remove from cookie sheet.

These turned out SOOO yummy over Thanksgiving this year. Christmas time…not so great. I didn’t do the sugar right and they got all runny and yucky. Second try was a bit better, though!

Onto the Giveaway….

Leave a comment on the blog and you’re entered for a free eBook: Wasteland, the first book in the Wasteland Trilogy. I’ll pick a winner Monday January 14th and post the winner’s name in the comments, so you might want to subscribe to the comments to see if you’re the winner!

Final edits on TAINTED are on their way! I’m so excited and a little sad at the same time. It means saying goodbye to characters I’ve spent years with! This third book is Durk and Jessica’s story. Check out the blurb HERE. And you can add it to your TO READ list at Goodreads HERE.
