This Writer’s Journey . . .
I want to share a bit of that with you. Each week I’ll be spotlighting someone I’ve come in contact with during my journey. Thanks for stepping along side of me-all of you-during this exciting time!
~~~~~~~~
I met Frank at the ACFW conference in September of 2009. I’m not exactly sure how we connected at the conference, only that we did. He’s a sweet guy with a wicked-funny sense of humor. The conference, for the most part, was a blur, considering it was my first national writing conference, but I walked away with some great connections.
And Frank is one of them.
He’s a constant encouragement, and for those of you who are writers reading this, that’s way important. It’s a tough road writing for publication, so it’s nice to find those who are available for a supportive ear that only other writers can lend.
Because face it, we’re weird. Takes a special type to understand how our freakishly weird minds work!
Anyway. Frank was instrumental in helping me connect with and find my agent. His support and encouragement helped me land at Tribe and for that, I’m forever grateful.
Thanks, Frank. I’m glad to know you. You’re such a gracious, godly man and a great example of what a friend is.
Okay, so I’m an IT manager by day and not technically savvy enough to identify the comment bubble at the top right. Doh! The first time I visited here. I was like, why can’t I leave a comment? Now, days later, I can answer: because I’m a dork.
Lynn, thank you for the story. You are a cherished friend! I am truly blessed by your friendship and I know firsthand that you are such a blessing in the lives of so many people. You make a difference.
You’re such a sweet girl you deserve a ton of supportive people around you. You’re right, it takes a writer to understand a writer. 🙂
Yeah, I’m so NOT funny, so that’s why I’m drawn to funny people. I live vicariously through them. You have a great weekend, too, Jillian.
Frank Redman
It’s easy for me to be funny. I look in the mirror and see funny everyday. Piece of cake! Oh, wait, guess I’d better wipe that off…
Yep. Before Tribe (I like the BT, that’s good.) Only by a few months, but I’m glad we did meet. 🙂
