• Let Go…

    Music is a HUGE part of my writing process. Much to my husband’s displeasure, I often find a song and latch on, playing it on repeat incessantly.

    I’ve found a new song to do that with.

    I’m writing Wasteland 3 right now during NaNoWriMo. I’m having a BLAST over on Twitter while doing writing sprints.

    Even if you’re not a writer, you should follow #nanotramps on Twitter. It’s super fun! We sometimes put quotes up from the projects we’re working on…even though they are super rough drafts, we get a kick out of them sometimes.

    But anyway, back to my song–gosh I’m easily distracted–Let Go, by RED. Now, I sometimes surprise people by telling them I listen to this kind of music. Oh, and that I have three tattoos, but that’s a whole ‘nother post…

    This song, although it’s very hard rock, paints a great picture of Wasteland 3’s main character.

    But that’s all I can say about that for now…. **grin**

    As soon as I heard it, I knew it was for Wasteland 3. 🙂

  • Debate This…Hall & Oates

    Hall & Oates is arguably the best duo out there. I know, I’m partial to the 80s music, but, really, what duos have made it the distance these guys have?

    Their talent is pretty much undisputed. Strong voices. Creative songs. Maybe not super good videos…but that’s okay in my book. Simple is just sometimes better.

    What duo do you think ranks up there as the best? No matter which generation they’re from.

  • Found another…

    ~~~~
    I love sunsets over the water. Specifically the ocean. I found this picture surfing around Google Images. I’m not sure where it’s taken, but it just struck me. The color contrasts and those beautiful clouds. Living out in the desert, pretty much every day is sunny, but when I see clouds coming, I love it. And when the sun bounces off them…I’m in heaven.
    Hope you’re having a great weekend, everyone. Take a breather to enjoy a nice little sunset if you can. And if you snap a picture, send me a link. I’d love to see what a sunset looks like in your area.
  • Four Word Interview…Claude Bouchard
    Hey, everyone, Emma here. I’m here with Chris Barry today. Claude Bouchard writes his story in Vigilante.
    Emma Martin: Favorite time of year….
    Giveaway time:
    I know you want to read more about Chris’s story now, so here’s your chance:
    Leave a comment here on this blog post and you’re entered.
    Easy peasy.
    I get enough “difficult” tracking down Vamps preying on my fellow college co-eds, so I’m all about the easy right now. Plus, my wrist just totally ignited so I have to bolt and go kick some Vamp-butt.
    I’ll be back later, though, so leave your comments and don’t worry, if you’ve read Vigilante already, you can still enter the giveaway because Claude mentioned he’d substitute a book if the winner has already read Vigilante. And he’s got quite a few available, too!
    You can enter until Midnight (pacific time) tonight (11/12/11). One entry per person. I’ll pick a winner and I’ll update this post and also put it here in the comments (so you might want to subscribe to the comments or just remember to check back by Monday the 14th. K?)
    See you later, everyone.
