Now…onto the movie.

X-Men: First Class

Synopsis from IMDB

In 1962, Charles Xavier starts up a school and later a team, for humans with superhuman abilities. Among them is Erik Lensherr, his best friend… and future archenemy.

My Review

I was pretty stoked to see this movie.

All day I watched as stellar reviews came in over the airwaves, increasing my excitement tenfold.

And, the movie lived up to my expectations. I’m a huge fan of the  X-Men movies. I own them all and have watched them several times.

I loved the depth of this new one. How it answered so many questions about how the school was formed, how he got into his wheelchair, things like that.

The action scenes and special effects were great. I think they picked the perfect people to play Charles and Erik.

Oh, and the cameos from other actors was really funny. Unexpected and nicely done!

So….I have to give it:

5 tickets: A must see. Buy a ticket for everyone.

  1. I’m so glad you reviewed the new X-men movie. I’ve debated about seeing this. I love the old ones, but I just wasn’t sure about this one. Now I really want to see it. 🙂

  2. I couldn’t wait to see what you thought of this one, Lynn. I know youar an Xmen fan 🙂 I must say, X-Men First Class is one of my favorites of the series . . . up there with Wolverine.

My favorite part was Wolverines short clip lol

    Another great review, Lynn!

Can’t wait for next month 🙂

  3. Thanks for the review. I love the Xmen series and thought this looked good so we debated using our movie coupon and pawning Owen off on Grandma for an evening to see this on the weekend. Now I just need to decide on the day, cuz we’re going to the movies!

  4. Sweet! Resident Geek and I had no interest in seeing this movie, but everyone’s raving about its awesomeness, so now we’re trying to get a babysitter. I liked the other X-Men movies, but the original trailers for this one didn’t look all that interesting to me. Glad to hear it’s really good!
