Ever hear the phrase, “Put on your game face”?

As someone who grew up around athletes and also played high school and college sports, I’m quite familiar with that phrase.

It’s like me telling myself to get serious. Not just in sports but in my job as well as every day life.

When I have an problem to solve, a task to complete or when I have to face something difficult, it helps me get in the zone, gives me strength to face off with whatever mountain I’m tackling.

The key is, though, to remember to take the game face off. You can’t always be strong and take care of everything. You’ll drain yourself of your energy and enthusiasm for life.

Find someone you trust who you can be vulnerable with. Someone who can take care of you when you need it and you can take care of them when they need it.

It’s about balance, my friends. Stay strong and be real. We’re in this life together.
