• Four-Word Interview

    ~~~~~
    Hey, everyone. Emma Martin here with my new friend Sammy Lorre!
    First of all, I just have to say how much your cover ROCKS, Sammy. Must have been of you right after you fell from heaven, huh? Second, it’s wicked-awesome meeting a real-life fallen angel-your wings are amazing. I’ve seen a lot of crap slaying Vamps for the past three years, so this is pretty cool change of pace!
    Nice to meet you, Emma. Ciara raves about you and Lynn. It’s a pleasure to be here.
    Vampires? Oh my, are those like demons?
    I hope you’re enjoying the release of your story. I haven’t had time to read it yet-stupid Vamps are acting up again and it’s a major time-suck-but I know Lynn has read it. She raves about it. So once things calm down for me, I’m all over the story.
    I’m enjoying the release. It’s kinda crazy learning how to use the internet and all.
    Okay. You ready?
    I think so. *shifts nervously*
    Oh, and you guys who are reading this…stick around to the end, there might be a little giveaway…
    Emma Martin: Favorite time of day….
    Sammy Lorre: Sunset over the ocean.
    ~~~

    EM: Fondest memory since falling . . .

    SL: When Grace found us

    ~~~
    EM: Favorite food to eat . . .
    But, hey, thanks, Mia. You did great!!! It’s not easy, is it?
    You’ll have to go check out that book. I’m digging Mia for sure. It just released on July 15th. Hey, I like the cover, Mia. Very nice.
    About the author:
    Brinda Berry has always loved reading about the
    every story ever told. Brinda lives in Arkansas with her family and a
    couple of terribly spoiled cairn terriers.
  • Four Word Interview…Piper’s Fury
    *****UPDATE 7/20/11: Okay, everyone, I drew a winner…….NISA!! Congrats, Nisa. Email Lynn ([email protected]) and she’ll get your info to Rachel. Thanks for playing, everyone******
    ~~~~~

    Hey, everyone. Emma here again. So, are we all calmed down from yesterday’s announcement?

    I’m NOT!

    I’m still in the state of shock to tell you the truth. I’ve even got Jake worried a little bit with my, “holy cow am I dreaming” daze I slip into . . .

    But I digress.

    I read this book, Piper’s Fury, by Rachel Firasek, and I asked Lynn if she could get in touch with the author, because I wanted to meet Piper. She’s wicked-tough and she knows how I feel with the whole not-being-able-to-touch-people-thing. Her reasons are different than mine, but still.

    I even convinced Piper to answer the Four Word Interview questions.

    Check it out. . . .

    Emma Martin: Favorite time of day….

    Piper Anast: The crack of dawn.

    ~~~
    EM:Fondest childhood memory is . . .
    PA: Story time with Momma.
    ~~~

    EM: Favorite food to eat . . .

    PA: Anything other than human.

    ~~~
    EM: If granted one wish. . .
    PA: I’d destroy “father.”
    ~~~~~

    Okay, I got a little nervous on that last one. I think her eyes started flickering that eerie red like on the cover of her book….

    No, seriously, thanks, Piper, for answering those. The Four Word Interview isn’t the easiest thing in the world.

    ~~~~
    Now, onto some more fun—> Let’s give away an electronic version of Piper’s Fury. I had to do an all night stake-out on a Vamp nest a while back, and I blazed right through this book.It’s got some sizzling-hot parts, too, but you’ll have to read it to check that out.
    The contest—> All you have to do to enter the drawing is leave a comment on this post!!
    It’s that easy! I’ll pull a name “out of the hat” tomorrow, so let’s say you have until 10pm Pacific time tonight (7/19/11), to leave a comment. I’ll come back to this post and update it showing the winner, okay?
    One entry per person, and since the book is an e-book, anyone can enter, because we’re not mailing anything out!
    Thanks for stoppin’ by, everyone. Stay tuned for tomorrow…I’m picking out some WICKED movie quotes for you to guess. . . .
  • Four Word Interview
    Hey, everyone, Emma Martin here. Remember when I was on the blog that one time…okay, I’ve been on this blog a lot, but this one time, I did a four word interview?
    Yeah, well, I thought it might be time to make an appearance again to interview someone.
    And not Lynn.
    She’s actually pretty boring **no offense**
    Instead, I found someone else a tad more interesting….
    A good friend of Lynn’s, Ciara Knight, has this pretty interesting character, Gabriella Moore. So, I asked my people to ask her people, and voilà…here she is:
    Emma Martin: Favorite time of day . . .
    Gabriella Moore:Sunrise, because nightmares end.
    ~~~

    EM: Fondest childhood memory is . . .

    GM:Anything before mom’s death.

    ~~~
    EM: Favorite food to eat . . .
    GB:*blushes* Picnic food with Alex.
    ~~~

    EM: If granted one wish. . .

    GB: Preventing Mom’s death. Wait, saving Alex’s soul. Ugh. Can’t decide. Not fair….

    ~~~~~
    Okay, she got a little riled up there a second, so I allotted a few more words on that last one.
    It’s tough answering in only four words, isn’t it?
    Thanks, Gaby. It was nice meeting you. Get ready, everyone. Gaby’s story is coming to print March 2012!
  • Four Word Interview
    Hi,Emma Martin here again.
    You might be wondering what I mean by the four word interview. So, since I’m in charge of the blog this week, I wanted to interview Lynn to find out more about her.
    I mean, if you think about it, she knows pretty much EVERYTHING about me, since she wrote me, right? But what do I know about her?
    Nada. Well, not completely nothing. I do skim Facebook and Twitter a bit to see she’s an exercising-writing-bookstore-working fanatic. . . but other than that….
    So, I dreamed up the four word interview. I ask her four questions that are only four words long, and she can answer with up to four words.
    She said she’d rather ask ME the questions I dreamed up for HER. . . .
    No use arguing with the woman who wrote my stories, right? So, here are the question I was going to ask Lynn…instead, she asked them of me:
    Lynn Rush: Favorite time of day….
    Emma Martin: Just before dawn.
    ~~~

    LR: Fondest childhood memory is . . .

    EM: Hugs from my dad

    ~~~
    LR: Favorite food to eat . . .
    EM: *rolls eyes* Don’t eat, remember?
    ~~~

    LR: If granted one wish. . .

    EM: UGH (wait—does that count as a word?) *Lynn nods* Somewhat normal life.

    ~~~
    Okay, that was really hard. Especially the food one. I don’t need to eat, drink, or sleep, so that was a silly question for me. But then again, I HAD written those questions to ask a HUMAN…..
    Hey, I’m curious, what would you guys answer to some of those questions?? Let me know in the comments, k?
    ~~~
