• Four-Word Interview: Finn Carter

    I found another awesome character for the Four-Word Interview! I mean, Finn Carter is a REAPER!

    Check out this book! I would’t have thought it was about a reaper based on the cover. But, the heroine has an awesome name–yep, EMMA–so, I had to check it out!

    But thank you to FINN for stepping up to the Four-Word interview challenge!!

    Here we go:

    Emma Martin: Favorite time of day….

    Finn Carter: Mornings when Emma bakes.

    ~~~
    EM: Fondest childhood memory is . . .
    FC: First time flying.
    ~~~

    EM: Favorite food to eat . . .

    FC: Mama’s peach cobbler

    ~~

    EM: If granted one wish. . .

    FC: To be alive

    ~~~~~~~
    That last question was a big one. To Be Alive. The Vamps I hunt are “technically” alive–for the most part–but I view them as dead because they’re all about the killing and drinking the blood of the innocent. But this reaper, Finn, looks like a stand-up guy. And he’s really in to Emma. **so sweet**
    Go read the blurb for the book, my guess is you’ll pre-order it like I did.
    I tend to read a lot since I’m up 24/7. Can’t study all those hours (not that the studying helps much).
    ~~~~

    PS: I heard from Lynn, and she says she’s having a blast at RomCon. The convention ends tomorrow and then it’s back to the desert for her….Maybe she’ll let me keep the blog going a bit while she’s settling back in?

  • Four-Word Interview: Luka Visraya

    Hey, guys. EMMA here with another four-word interview.

    Here are the rules: Four questions–nice easy number, right? **grin**

    Well, those four questions must be four words or less *AND* the answers must be four words or less.

    It’s actually more difficult than you think! Trust me, I’ve had to answer these questions before (click hereto see).

    I know Lynn is a huge fan of Kate Evangelista’s novel, TASTE, so I thought it’d be fun to interview one of the yummy characters from that story. She’ll be so jealous she missed this, but she’s up in Denver having fun with the readers attending RomCon!

    So, here we go:

    Emma Martin: Favorite time of day….

    Luka Visraya: *smiles, bemused* Midnight. Full moon.

    ~~~
    EM: Fondest childhood memory is . . .
    LV: Stealing the king’s robes.
    ~~~

    EM: Favorite food to eat . . .

    LV: Kikaron from the market.

    ~~~
    EM: If granted one wish. . .
    LV: Phoenix.
    ~~~~

    Thanks, Luka. You’re a good sport, even if you are a Zombie….And, considering you don’t set off my little wrist detector here, that must mean you’re on the up and up. **slugs his shoulder**

  • Four Word Interview—Fynn McKenna

    Hey, everyone. Emma here again with another edition of the Four Word Interview.

    This time we have Fynn McKenna. Kendall Grey writes his story in END, which comes out December 21st! Now, I’ve been lucky enough to have a sneak peak at this story. I can’t tell you how, because I’d have to kill you-and I do enough killing with all the Vamp action going around here on campus-so I’ll keep my mouth shut.

    But the really interesting thing…ALL The proceeds go to St. Jude’s.

    How freaking cool is that?

    So…let’s meet Fynn:

    Emma Martin: Favorite time of day….

    Fynn McKenna: Just before dawn breaks.

    ~~~
    EM: Fondest childhood memory is . . .
    FM: Wrestling with my dog.
    ~~~

    EM: Favorite food to eat . . .

    FM: My wife’s spiced potatoes.

    ~~~
    EM: If granted one wish. . .
    FM: I wouldn’t have left.
    ~~~~~~

    Okay. I know you’re crushing on Fynn now. I mean, who wouldn’t swoon over a man who loves hanging out with his dog and admits on the internet for all to see that he loves his wife’s cooking?

    I have to admit, even though I don’t eat anymore, spiced potatoes does sound interesting…

    Hey, guess what? Kendall says she’ll give away an e-book copy of END to a random commenter (remember, it doesn’t come out until 12/21/11, though). All you have to do is leave a comment and you’re entered. We’ll keep it open until Friday Night (12/9/11 Midnight EST) and announce the winner over the weekend.

    Thanks for swinging by.

  • Four Word Interview–Luke Romyn

    ~~~~~
    Hey, everyone, Emma here. Now, I face supernatural beings all the time considering the title Vamp Hunter was thrown at me three years ago…but this dude, Vain…he’s close to being as scary as David (Lynn’s character from Wasteland.) Lukemust have done some major bribing to get him to do this four-word interview.
    But I’m glad he did.
    Check this out, I’m so going to read this book so I can see how this Vain guy turns out.
    ~~~~~~

    Emma Martin: Favorite weapon for battle…

    Vain: Knife in the shadows.

    ~~~
    EM: Favorite time of day…
    Vain: When darkness reigns supreme.
    ~~~

    EM: Favorite food to eat…

    Vain: Heart of my enemy.

    ~~~
    EM: If granted one wish…
    Vain: Ignore the conscience within.
    ~~~~~~

    Whoa. So now I totally want to recruit him to come help me clean up this campus. Either him or Luke. I mean, you did see the size of Luke’s biceps in that home page picture, right?

    ~~~~
    Okay, everyone. Your turn.
    What would be your FOUR WORD answer to the “if granted one wish…” question?
    ~~~~

  • Four Word Interview…Claude Bouchard

    Hey, everyone, Emma here. I’m here with Chris Barry today. Claude Bouchard writes his story in Vigilante.

    Chris IS a brave dude, too, for agreeing to this four-word interview…so let’s jump into it. Be sure to stick around, Claude is giving you all a chance to win an e-book version of Vigilante!

    ~~~~
    Emma Martin: Favorite time of year….
    Chris Barry: Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter
    ~~~

    EM: Fondest childhood memory is . . .

    CB: Seeing my mom smile

    ~~~
    EM: Favorite food to eat . . .
    CB: Medium-rare filet-mignon
    ~~~

    EM: If granted one wish. . .

    CB: Make world crime-free

    ~~~~
    Thanks, Chris. You’re a little stinker on that first one **grin** but that’s cool, you like all the seasons, I get it.
    ~~~~

    Giveaway time:

    I know you want to read more about Chris’s story now, so here’s your chance:

    Leave a comment here on this blog post and you’re entered.

    Easy peasy.

    I get enough “difficult” tracking down Vamps preying on my fellow college co-eds, so I’m all about the easy right now. Plus, my wrist just totally ignited so I have to bolt and go kick some Vamp-butt.

    I’ll be back later, though, so leave your comments and don’t worry, if you’ve read Vigilante already, you can still enter the giveaway because Claude mentioned he’d substitute a book if the winner has already read Vigilante. And he’s got quite a few available, too!

    You can enter until Midnight (pacific time) tonight (11/12/11). One entry per person. I’ll pick a winner and I’ll update this post and also put it here in the comments (so you might want to subscribe to the comments or just remember to check back by Monday the 14th. K?)

    See you later, everyone.

  • Four Word Interview–Editor Donna O’Brien

    ~~~~
    Hey, everyone, Emma Martin here. Today’s victim guest is Super Editor, Donna O’Brien.
    I’m kinda partial to her since she’s working on all my stories. And I’m hearing little whispers that Violet Midnight might be ready for a March 2012 release…so we’ll see what happens.
    Okay, Donna, tell us about yourself:
    I‘ve been married for 25 years to my real life hero (and that’s not a cliché – this man defied death itself for his family). I have wonderful kids who are supportive and amaze me every day. I love all things associated with books, those that I’ve read and those that have yet to be written.
    Thanks for hanging out with us, Donna.
    Thanks for having me. I’m so excited about editing your books. I can’t wait for everyone else to get to know you better. But for now, your books are ALL MINE! 😀
    ~~~~

    SWEET. Okay. Here we go…

    ~~~~
    ~~~

    Emma Martin: Favorite time of day….

    Donna O’Brien: Wee hours of morning

    ~~~
    EM: Fondest childhood memory is . . .
    DO: Playing dolls with Mom
    ~~~

    EM: Favorite food to eat . . .

    DO: Cheese! Cheese and wine!

    ~~~
    EM: If granted one wish. . .
    DO: Everyone to get HEA.
    ~~~~

    Awesome. So, you’re a morning person like Lynn, huh? That’s cool. Considering I don’t sleep at all, I get to see pretty much EVERY hour of the day, and I’d have to say my fave is sunrise. It means I made it through another night.

    Okay, readers…I dare you to answer ONE of these questions in the comments.
