Over New Years, I watched the first Captain America again. I just loved the second one, but needed a refresher. Boy, did I forget how AWESOME Captain America was. Mostly what stuck out to me is the romance with him and Agent Carter (and yes, I’m stoked to watch that show on TV–she kicks BUTT!) It was so intense, yet in the movie, they only shared one very innocent kiss. Yet, I felt the love. The devotion. The respect. Amazing how that can happen with just one kiss, a few intense looks. I found a new favorite song. I’d heard P!nk had a new album coming out, so when I saw @RachelFirasek’s post on Twitter that she was listening to P!nk I went out investigating…. I can’t believe it…

September is already here? That just doesn’t seem possible the summer is already over. Kids are back in school. Colleges are into their first semesters. Though, I am excited for one reason…it’s that much closer to Violet Midnight’s Cover Reveal. September 4th is the big day. I’m super excited because I just love this cover. It’s quite different than the Wasteland and Awaited covers–which is good, because this series is WAY different. The ARCs are out to readers & reviewers so I’m biting my nails a bit to see what people think…especially those who only know me for the Wasteland[…]

#CancerSucks

Cancer has touched my life yet again. As you might know if you’ve been following this blog for any length of time, my mother-in-law passed away October 24th, 2011 from cancer. Her name was Lynn…and I’m her namesake. Now, another one of my mothers has been stricken with cancer. B-Cell Lymphoma. Just diagnosed Thursday May 10th, 2012. Penny Mathieu, my dad’s wife of over fifteen years, has run 21 marathons. Climbed mountains such as Kilimanjaro, Rainer, Mt. Blanc.
