Holy cow. I seriously got the goosebumps watching this trailer again. Something about this movie just totally and completely freaks me out. I think it’s the little girl’s acting. I never like seeing young kids in this kind of stuff. Like, I went to see Let Me In a while back and it was great, but difficult to see a twelve year old sucking blood, you know?

Oh boy, it’s gonna be creepy. I’m such a wimp when it comes to scary movies. Ask my sweet hubby-I won’t go to them in the theatre very often, and when we rent them, I have the pillow up to my face for a majority of them.

Last week’s was Candyman, which was super scary, but this week. . . check it out. . .

Okay, so I haven’t seen this movie in years, but just watching the trailer had me shivering in my seat here. You know what gets me the most? The music. Because, really, the acting isn’t all that stellar, but jeepers, if I could watch it on mute, I’d be fine!

Remember that one?Okay, I did watch this one (yes, pillow to face, lights on, and often plugging my ears) and just watching that movie trailer to make the post today freaked me out
Yes, I’m a dork–I’m totally okay with it.
But here’s a fun little trivia I found: Virginia Madsen is allergic to bees, so an ambulance was always on set while filming the bee sequence.

So, do you remember The Shining?
With Jack Nicholson?
Oh boy, he was creepy, wasn’t he?
But not so sure about his co-star, Shelley Duvall, though. Remember Olive Oyl from Popeye?
I saw her in that, so I couldn’t get past that image. . . LOL.Okay, how ’bout REDRUM? The voice that little kid took freaked me out. And he talked with his finger, remember that?
I mean, us writers–yeah, we’re a little weird, I know–but come on, writing the same phrase over and over and over? All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
YIKES.
Did you see it? Man, it just doesn’t seem like they can make scary movies like that any more. Now it seems like they’re just more blood and guts instead. . . Or, maybe I’m just getting old and grouchy, huh?

Since Halloween nears, I thought I’d bring up a scary movie for our Throwback Thursday . . .
Remember the ever-famous phrase, “They’re here.”?
Just the mere uttering of that phrase gives me the shivers.
I mean, how can this cute kid instill such fear with those that little question?
The cute, long, blond hair…innocent smile. But still . . .

Remember Nightmare on Elm Street?
Okay, that movie came out in 1984. I can’t remember exactly when I saw it or how old I was, but I think I watched it with some girlfriends at a slumber party I think.
I was scared for, like, TWO WHOLE WEEKS. Oh my gosh.
