Ever wonder how you ended up on the road you’re on in life?

I sure do.

Never in a million years did I think I’d write a novel.

Never in a million years did I think I’d ever run a 50-mile race.

Those sound like good things, right? They are, but there were some detours along the way that put me on some pretty sketchy roads.

The desire to succeed is strong, but it can lead to sacrificing things you never thought you would or compromising your morals.

A hint that you might have taken a wrong turn in your journey is if you ask yourself things like this: “How did I get here? How did I get so far off track?”

There’s always hope, though, if you find yourself off track–but you first have to realize you’re off course. Then change can happen. You can get back on the right path. And just think, you might be able to help someone in the future when they get off track.

So hang in there, my friends. Remember, you are not alone in this. You are not the only one who makes mistakes. You can recover.
